I am in the early months of a self imposed year of living quietly.  I am a full time painter, and I am sure at some point I will share what I think that means, but for now, in this year of breaking away it means showing up for the work and letting that define its outcome. I am an avid photographer on a hobby level and I live in a rural setting that gifts me daily with wonder and opportunity. There is so much that offers itself with grace and sincerity, if you can step into the world and not see something compelling and worth a closer look I can’t help wonder if you aren’t really trying. In the long ago someone once told me, look, look closely until you see. So stepping away from organizations, groups, shows, the places where I have worked hard to be included – for a year, or maybe two I am going to follow a different path and plan to write about that experience here.
